Abstract
LIC-INCORROUT DISPLAY CEC PROPERTIES FAILS FOR ISERIES
INTEGRATE
Error Description
Integrated xSeries Adapters (ixa) contained in a
Integrated
xSeries Server tower connected to a 570 can not be
assigned to a
lpar using the HMC. Depending on the version of the
HMC, the
unit may not appear or may cause a HMC error when
accessing
hardware resource properties. Errors may include:
hscl251D "get I/o unit info error" (managed system
properties)
HSCL8016 (lshwres command)
The problem can be confirmed by attempting to list
hardware
resources for the unit. Listing slot resources on the
unit
returns an empty phys_loc value.
Example:
lshwres -m "9406-570*1234567" -r io --rsubtype slot
--filter
"units=UTMP0.002.1234567"
unit_phys_loc=UTMP0.002.0120948,bus_id=24,phys_loc=,drc_index=21

,lpar_id=none,slot_io_pool_id=none,description=I/O

feature_codes=none,pci_vendor_id=0000,pci_device_id=0000,
pci_subs_vendor_id=0000,pci_subs_device_id=0000,pci_class=0000,
