Don't worry about the jfslog becoming full. The extension rule of thumb is
    as follows:

    1. ) For every 2 gig of filesystem space extend your jfs log by 4 meg. The
jfslog can be a maximum of 256 meg.
2.) To extend it you will have to add LP's to the LV and then execute:
"logform" on the jfslog again. I believe the filesystems
which write meta data to it, will have to be unmounted.

    Thanks.

    Extending a JFSLOG.

Is there a way to extend a JFSLOG?
I have a volume group which has high activity and would like to increase
the size of its JFSLOG in order to reduce the risk of that log becoming
    full.

    Abraços,

    Marlon Borba, CISSP.
