    It really depends on the applications. You need to make sure that you are
    running versions which will work on both AIX 4.3.3 and AIX 5.2.

    You will probably need a new version of the C compiler, too.

    option during installation), will it affect the working of all applications
    running on aix box?
    Up gradation will be taken only on rootvg volume group.
    Applications include Oracle database and oracle apps, as they required
    compilers and java runtime environment for proper working.
