I find topas to be OK, but I really like nmon. Much easier to tailor it to
what you're interested in on a particular occasion. We also have it running
in the background to collect stats to go through the nmon analyser.

Hmm, try to compile top on your machine or use nmon (http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/eserver/articles/analyze_aix/) or believe in topas, which has more abilities than top.
