    For the second question, you can use touch:

    # touch -t [[CC]YY]MMDDhhmm[.SS] filename

    Anyone know how to change the inode number for a file/dir without
    actually moving or deleting and recreating it?

    Also, does anyone know how to change the modification time, not access
    time, on a file or dir.
