can't mirror just after a 5.3 migrate

    Hello AIX'ers,

     

    I can't mirror after an aix 5.3 from a 4.3 upgrade. All was good prior.
    Hdisk0 is good. No errors anywhere.

    I tried rvgrecover but no joy; any thoughts and TIA.

     

     

     /etc/objrepos # mirrorvg -c2 rootvg hdisk1

    0516-621 : The Device Configuration Database is inconsistent.

            Execute exportvg rootvg followed by importvg to synchronize

            the database.

    0516-842 : Unable to make logical partition copies for

            logical volume.

    0516-1199 mirrorvg: Failed to create logical partition copies

            for logical volume hd5.

    0516-1200 mirrorvg: Failed to mirror the volume group.
