Adding Expansion Unit to DS4300 Turbo

    We have a DS4300 Turbo ( Fastt 600 Turbo )

    San using Storage Manager 8.4.

     

    We want to add an EXP710 Expansion Unit

    to this system. My understanding is

    that we need to first upgrade to Storage Manager 9.1,

    and then upgrade the NVRAM ( microcode ) levels

    of the san.

     

    I have heard an assertion that this process

    is quite tricky, and that 2 users "have lost their

    systems" doing the upgrade.

     

    Does anyone have any experiences or comments

    about this upgrade ?

     

    Operationally, we have had nothing but good to say
