    Subject: lost a VG

I have a disk that had one jfs filesystem on it, but
somehow the vg/lv metadata seems to have been
corrupted. The disk appears to be physically ok
however. The vg was already dropped with exportvg,
and I was hoping that it would be possible to recreate
the definitions using mkvg, mklv with a map file,
etc., using the original disk and recover the data on
the disk, assuming I know or can guess the attributes
of the original setup. Can this be done, or am I out
    of luck?

I made the attempt and am getting the message: Cannot
mount X on Y: A system call received a parameter that
    is not valid.
