    Try:

    # mkboot -c hdiskx

If that doesn't work verify the checksum with the: "sum" command against
    the:
"/etc/bosboot.sum" file and the: "/unix" file/directory, to see if the
    checksum/numbers
    match up exactly.

    Thanks,.

    Subject
    unmirrorvg & bosboot problem

I was able to unmirrorvg rootvg in preparation of doing an alternate disk
install to ML 05 from AIX 5.2 ML04 and the unmirrorvg was successful. I
did perform a chpv –c hd5 and then a bosboot –a but I receive the
    following…

bosboot: Boot image is 19728 512 byte blocks.

0301-162 bosboot: savebase failed with /dev/hdisk0.

0301-165 bosboot: WARNING! bosboot failed - do not attempt to boot device.

What did I do wrong (the chpv –c hd5 command)?

What do I need to do to fix it?

    Please help!
