If I remember correctly, I installed chgfcparray related drive from OS
CD.

Subject: Can't backup old E20
Hi again all!
I've got my old retired server running fine again and I thought it
would be prudent to try to back this thing up. For some reason, it's
not happy doing it though. I've first tried smitty savevg and
ultimately tried savevg by itself, but keep getting the same weirdness:
# savevg -m -X rootvg
Creating information file (/image.data) for rootvg.....
Creating pseudo tape boot image..ln: 0653-421
./usr/lib/methods/chgfcparray exists.
Specify -f to remove ./usr/lib/methods/chgfcparray before linking.
.backup: 0511-449 An error occurred accessing
./usr/lib/methods/chgfcparray/: There are too many levels of symbolic
links to translate a path name.
0512-021 savevg: Attempt to create a bootable tape failed:
mkinsttape /dev/rmt0.1 failed with return code 9.
#
(Dang it's nice to be able to copy/paste from this thing again!)
Any idea why it's falling on it's face? Looking around, I've noticed
that /usr/lib/methods/chgfcparray is a link to itself:
# cd /usr/lib/methods
# l | grep chgfcparray
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root system 28 May 24 10:30 chgfcparray ->
/usr/lib/methods/chgfcparray
#
Yet if I remove it and run savevg again it's recreated and savevg once
again fails with the same error (minus the prompts about it already
existing and to supply the -f flag). So what's broken; where do I look
to fix this? It would be nice to be able to do a backup on this thing.
Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The box said 'Requires Windows 95, NT, or better,' so I installed Mac
OSX "Panther".
