    Have you tried
    CONSOLE = /dev/vty0 (HMC Managed System)
    CONSOLE = /dev/tty0 (Serial Attached TERM or Emulator)
    ??

    If this were an M80, I'd say CD-ROM firmware. Maybe the problem rears
    its ugly head in a new release?

    Hello,
    I try to install a 5.3 mksysb on a p520. It hangs at c35 (cannot find
    console) after loading the kernel.
    Then I added a bosinst.data with a manuel entry for console;
    CONSOLE = Default
    (this entry is blank in the mksysbs bosinst.data).
    But again it hangs at c35.
    I could install a 5.2 without problems.
    Any hints?
