I need some direction or a script would help. I am trying to get
errors logged in the errpt to run a script that will alert us to a
problem. I added the needed "notify" to the ODM but nothing is
reported. Also is there a way to tell when an adapter for say was
replaced and back online? Again trying to get this from the errpt or
should I be getting this info from somewhere else?

Re: rolling over the errpt file ... We use a crontab entry to do a daily backup of the errpt:... So I ran the errclear command but this does not shrink the file ... Is there a way to a binary extract of the errlog log and only keep the ... Maybe a script to roll the errlog every 30 days? ... (AIX-L)
