    Thanks for the reply. I got that same pitch about CRS or whatever they
    call it. Not sure I'm confident on that just yet but it seems to replace
    HACMP!

    So Oracle RAC supports JFS and RAW or just RAW?

    What we're being told by our IBM partner is that for a small cluster (2
    or 3 servers) GPFS is overkill. HACMP will do fine because all you
    really need is the ability to use enhanced concurrent volume groups -
    which HACMP provides.

    The question we're still trying to get an answer for is whether you
    still need HACMP for Oracle 10g since 10g comes with the new CRS
    feature.
