    I plan to do one on Sunday, to apply AIX 5.1 ML08. I've done several tests,
    but only on individual machines. It worked OK.
     
    NIM doesn't reboot afterwards, so I created a simple script to do some
    checking - lppchk; oslevel - and a couple of site-specific things, then
    reboot. (The shutdown command was run in the background; otherwise I found
    that my smit session didn't complete, but just hung there. Using the
    command line might be different.)
     
    My update won't be truly global, but I will be doing about 40 machines.
     
    This is fairly new ground for me, too.
