    Bill,

You have to replace your AIX 5.2 media with a new one. The Edition that you
have (LCD4-1133-01) has a bug. You will have this problem when upgrade but
not with fresh install. Basically the CD is missing the lsvg command which
the script use to determine the PP size.
    I had the same problem.

Subject: Migrate from AIX 5.1 ML8 to 5.2

I am trying to migrate my 7046-B50 from AIX 5.1 ml08 to 5.2(CD's dated
    05/2003)

    I get the message
"The boot logical volume(HD5) must be at least 8 meg
The system you are installing has a boot logical volume of less than this
    and the system
does not have enough free contiguous physical partitions on hdisk0 to
    increase the size
    of the boot logical volume"

When I try to continue, the systems just hangs with the LED's of "0c32".
My hd5 is 32 meg, and there are 53 free contiguous partitions following HD5
    on hdisk0.

Has anyone else had a similar problem and/or any idea's? LSPV & LSLV are
    below

    Thanks, Bill

    >lspv -M hdisk0
    hdisk0:1 hd5:1
