Thanks for the replies. Initially it was a zone issue. We had both fc
adapters zoned to the same controller on the fastT. We removed all the
devices, took the second fc adapter out of the zone, and reran cfgmgr.

Here is my output from fget_config -Av
    ---dar0---

    User array name = 'DS4400_dres'
    dac0 ACTIVE dac3 ACTIVE

    Disk DAC LUN Logical Drive
    hdisk2 dac0 0 LUN100_1
    hdisk3 dac0 1 LUN200_2
    hdisk4 dac0 2 LUN300_2
    hdisk5 dac0 3 LUN400_2
    hdisk6 dac0 4 LUN500_2
    hdisk7 dac0 5 LUN600_1
    hdisk8 dac0 6 LUN700_1
    hdisk9 dac0 7 LUN800_1
    hdisk10 dac0 8 LUN900_1
    hdisk11 dac0 9 LUN1000_1
    hdisk12 dac0 10 LUN1100_1
    hdisk13 dac0 11 LUN1200_1

The idea is to have fc0 zoned to the first controller on the SAN and fc3
zoned for the second controller on the san. If that really is the case,
then I should see entries for another dac pointing to the came controller,
    correct?

No I'm not sure they're setup right. :-) This is all new to me with the
    SAN.

For the complete diagram of what my configuration looks like.

I've got two lpar's in my p570. Each of the lpar's has two hba's. Each hba

is connected to a FC Switch. Each Switch is connected to one of the
    controllers on the 4300.

    lpar 1
                 - hba1 connected to Switch 1
                 - hba2 connected to Switch 2

    lpar 2
                 - hba1 connected to Switch 1
                 - hba2 connected to Switch 2

    Switch 1 -----> 4300 Controller 1

    Switch 2 -----> 4300 Controller 2

Iniitally there were no Zones on the switches. The Switches btw are
    IBM_2005_H08's .

I created two zones on each switch. Each zone has one HBA in it and the
    Controller for the 4300.
