    I have a ds4300 on AIX 5.1 and just added an

    710 extension box . I have upgraded Storage Manager

    to 9.12. The application is a Sybase database

     

    Question 1 : If I set the read-ahead to 0 ,

    is the read-ahead feature turned off,

    or is read-ahead now dynamic ( SM 9.12 )

    and adjusted by the Storage Manager ?

     

    Question 2: What is the recommendation

    for segment size ? 16k seems small to

    me...
