    Hi Denny,
    I have a IBM Net 17 printer connected and this is /etc/qconfig file for that
    printer.

    COMMERCIAL1:
            discipline = fcfs
            device = ibm@172
    ibm@172:
            file = /var/spool/lpd/pio/@local/dev/ibm@172.16.1.32#ibmNetPrinter
            header = never
            trailer = never
            access = both
            backend = /usr/lib/lpd/pio/etc/pioibmnpm 172.16.1.32

    smit print <-- this will allow you to set it up. Try the IBMNetPrinter option
    or

    try the remote option.
    If you use the remote option have your /etc/hosts file set up with the printer
    as a name and the address setup correctly.

    This is my example of the /etc/hosts file for the above printer
