size and goodsize match. Yes only one memory card which supports 16 DIMM's.
I did look at the DIMMs initially and they do all appear to have IBM logo's on them not sure if there is any subtle differences or not but I may have to look a little closer and try 1Gb at a time as you suggest.

On the output of 'lattr -El mem0', does size and goodsize match ?
I assume all your DIMMS are on the first card which supports 16 DIMMS ?
Are the new DIMMS the same as the old (from IBM)? Try testing 1GB at a time to see if any problems with certain DIMMS.

Subject: Memory added but not all being recognized
I have a 44P-270 with 1GB of ram. It had 4 - 246MB DIMMS (IBM PN 4019).
I added another 12 - 256 MB DIMMS to bring it up to 4096MB.
After powering it up it now only recognizes 2048MB so I'm 2GB short.
(Boot screen shows 2048MB and lsattr -El mem0 also just shows 2048).
I've pulled out the memory card and reseated the memory DIMM's I just added.
Same result.
Am I missing anything here that will stop the server from recognizing the extra memory?
This is AIX 4.3.3 if that makes a difference.
