You might want to consider migrating the logical partitions using the
    migratelp command.

    Subject: Disk challenge

All, one of my co-workers has a disk challenge that has us stumped.

He has a LVM RAID 1 mirror that has had a drive fail.

    Environment:
    AIX 5.2
    SSA disk
    NO unused disks or slots

He needs to replace the disk which he has a handle on because he has
done it before. However when he did an lslv -m before breaking the
mirror he found that the bad drive (hdisk59) is being used on both sides
of the mirror for different logical partitions.

    0028 0016 hdisk58 0017 hdisk59
    0029 0016 hdisk59 0017 hdisk16

We can't do a replacepv because of the lack of an unused disk or
available slot to put a disk into. Does anyone have any suggestions on
getting this disk replaced besides moving the data in the filesystems
    off and rebuilding from scratch?

    S
