Just to be clear your talking about writing my own smit menu?
Also does anybody know what group a user should be a member of to administer printers (printq)?
I've created a user and made it a member of printq but it doesn't have the rights to cancel or release someone else's print jobs.

if you have scripts and such, maybe a smit programming can help
it is easy to do and works under tty and gui interface ?
I've been doing such things but unfortunately don't have
old code available
