    How are you transferring the file? Are you using the regular ftp client?
    If so what mode, binary, ascii, what?
    Thanks.

    Subject
    ftp mode issue

    Usually the mode of ftp is straightforward,
    but I have an issue that seems non-trivial.

    I have some XML code generated on a Windows system.

    The XML code has ascii headers, followed by encrypted output.

    Example ( data moded for security reasons ) :

           <XXXI="16436" GTYPE="IMAGE/GIFF" SUGRF="XHKJK"
    IDATA="AIBAwABAJGaROy+Q8iBTgQ2klskslkfs;lk;ksl;dk909a0s9-09;alala;la'lsa
    ';lsal';';l;';iopooiweiwpio"

    The data is being sent binary to AIX , and then ftp over ssl
    to another windows system.

    Complaints are being raised about 'lost data' at the windows site.

    Could the binary mode of the ftp to AUX be an issue ?
