    Are home directories automounted from another box? If so, check to see
    if that box is still alive, or possibly having problems.

    I have a system experiencing login problems....

    Users can enter their ID and Password.. and then it hangs once the MOTD
    message is displayed.
    Root can login with no issues....

    Both telnet and rlogin are having the same symptom..

    Any ideas?
