i've not been using inline logs. it seems to make more sense to use regular jfslogs, as I have more control over them.
btw. I might be an idiot, but when jfs2 filesystems fill up, the errpt entries point ot bogus major/minor numbers? they don;t seem to jive with the /dev major/minor numbers. how do i decode the major minor numbers?

I don't have much experience with JFS2. My first unhappy experience with
JFS2, though, was with non-inline (outline?) logs. The logical volume
with the logs was overwhelmed with I/O and I got petulant error report
entries. This doesn't happen with inline logs, so I use exclusively
inline logs now.
If I misdiagnosed the issue, though, I'd appreciate knowing that.
