I have seen something similar when there is a conflict with the SCSI ID
settings. What ID is your changer using as compared to your adapter ?

Yes, there are still some of these in use. In fact, I have just
connected another one (purchased off used market) to our TSM server.
The thing that has me a bit confused, and the reason for this message,
is that instead of seeing six tape drives (/dev/rmt) and one media
changer (/dev/smc), I see six tape drives and six changers for this
additional library.
Has anyone had experience with these and has an idea why this might
occur? The library panel settings have it configured as one logical
library. I haven't added it to TSM, yet; I'm only looking at it from an
AIX perspective.
Thanks,
