mksysb reloaded after raid configured

I am running AIX V5.3 on a 9113 p5-550.

If I made a mksysb tape with a bootable image BEFORE I configured RAID on the 550,
would I be able to restore the contents of the mksysb tape (bootable tape) on the NEW
disk configuration?
