Thank you all for your excellent answers!
I'm still awaiting the Storage Team to allocate the disk space for me.

Hi,
Your logical volumes are raw, not your VG. It is possible, your VG does not
contains any LVs, except raw, but that's not affect your VG.
If you want to add raw LV to attach your application, you can create the LV
with the common method (mklv -y <lv's name> -e x informixvg <number of
LPs>), and use /dev/r"logical volume" device.
If you want to add additionally hdiskpower devices to your VG the procedure
is still common, you run "extendvg informixvg <hdiskpowerX>". If you don't
see any free hdiskpower disks, than you don't have more free hdiskpower
device, or your configuration or device driver has some error.
Note that powerpath device is uniq. There's only powerpath0, and this is a
control device.

Subject: How to add raw
disk?
Folks,
I have a VG "informixvg" that contains 10 LVs
These LVs are spread across three PowerPath devices
and are raw. (Supplied by the EMC Storage Team)
How do I add additional PowerPath devices to this raw VG?
I went into smit under "Add a physical volume to a Volume Group"
but it only gave me the choices of "hdisks" not "powerpath" disks.
How is this done?
