Re: remove missing disk with ID only

It's a normal SCSI mirrored disk. But I finally found out through my old
notes
to use:
rmlvcopy hdx 1 [old PVID] = on all jfs or jfslog type disk
but on my hd6 type PAGING, a little more work had to be done because it
still saw it active. SWAPON, SWAPOFF, smitty mkps and editing
/sbin/rc.boot, had to be performed to clean up hd6.
Thanks,
Joe

Could you expand on this a little?
Do you mean that the failed disk still shows up in the volume group (lsvg
-p) or that it's not in the volume group but still appears to have a VGID?
What sort of disk is it? Is/was it part of an array or just a normal disk,
with mirroring controlled by LVM?

I had a mirror disk replaced and I can not get the old ID
on the bad disk 'reduced' from the volume group.
Whats the best way to clean this up?
