I have a script, named "errreporter", that probably does exactly what you want it to. You can find it at ...
http://www.stanford.edu/~ssklar/errreporter/
Let me know if you have any questions about its use.

Subject: How do you create a stanza to email root certain type of error conditions
AIXers,
I am running AIX V5.3 on a 9113 p5-550.
I remember receiving or viewing a procedure on how to send an email
to root when certain errors are received. For example, an email
is sent to root when a tape drive needs cleaning.
Does anyone know how to create this sort of procedure?
Thanks In Advance,
Denny Watkins
