Re: 5702 Dual Channel Adapter Card

I have a 550 with D20 I/O drawers and the 5702 dual channel adapter cards.
My internal 6-pack disk bay is connected to port 0 and I have a Sony AIT-2
tape drive (SCSI address 0) attached to external port 1. Take a look at
the internal cable ports on the adapter card. They should be labeled 0 and
1. Make sure they're cabled up correctly. Are you sure your internal disk
are on port 1? I'm not familiar with the 3580 LTO tape drive. Is it a
SCSI device?

I have a 550Q with a 5702 Dual Channel Adapter Card.
Port 1 is running the 6 pack bay of disks in the D20 I/O Drawer.
I am trying to connect Port 0 to a 3580 LTO Tape Drive.

Internally there are two SCSI connections from the 5702 card - one to each
of 2 6-pack bays of drives. I disconnected the one SCSI connection to the
second bay of drives (it is empty). Then connected the LTO tape drive to
port 0 on the 5702. When I boot up I get SCSI Bus errors.

I also tried to leave the internal SCSI connections the way they are (one
to each 6-pack drive bays) and I don't get the SCSI connection errors.. but
I also do not see my tape drive.

I have the correct scsi tape drivers installed.

I am sure I am not connecting this properly... any ideas?

(Note: I have a terminator on the LTO tape drive)
