Re: 5.1-5.3 upgrade

If you are upgrading, you are doing a MIGRATION. A new and complete
overwrite will completely wipe out your install base and all
configurations.

To get out, reboot. That's all...

You don't have to run any of the pre-migration scripts. They are
optional.

Subject: 5.1-5.3 upgrade

From what I read I thought I would be doing an "overwrite and
install". Once starting though I see the default is "migration" and
the warning when selecting "overwrite and install" has me I'm
intimidated as to what to do. I didn't run the pre-migration scripts
and I can't see how to back out of the install other than just
powering down, which does seem wise.

Is there any way to get out of install...I'm at the screen where you
select migration or overwrite? If possible I think I'd prefer to go
back and run the pre-migration script. If I run it in migration mode
without running the pre-migration script will that create problems?

Thanks for any advise you can offer,
Karen Boddy
