Re: DLPAR & HACMP 5.3

Hi,

incidentally, I just fixed that on one of our LPSRs...

I executed the following commands...

/usr/sbin/rsct/install/bin/uncfgct -n
/usr/sbin/rsct/install/bin/cfgct

the first one removes previous LPAR configuration id
/etc/ct_node_id, the following one adds a unique id to
the LPAR, next start the rsct and rsct_rm daemons...

startsrc -g rsct
startsrc -g rsct_rm

that should get you going...

I'm trying to use the dlpar functionality in HACMP
5.3 and don't get the communication working.
I have generated the ssh-keys so that I'm able to
ssh from the node to the hmc without a password.
The node name is the same on the hmc profile and
hacmp. Only thing is that I don't know how to
edit the /etc/hosts on the HMC (5.1) if that
should be done?

Error message from the verification:

ERROR: The HMC with IP label 172.29.1.110
configured on node eccnode1 is not
reachable. Make sure the HMC IP address is
correct, the HMC is
turned on and connected to the network, and the
HMC has OpenSSH installed
and setup with the public key of node eccnode1.
