Hi,
with the same failure.)
I did consider the port speed when I first
encountered this problem. I'm fairly
sure it's correct as I recall having a lot of
problems with it a couple of years
ago - just the usual performance issues associated
with mis-matched settings.
Unfortunately it's not something I can check myself
and the people who can have
lost the documentation which tells them which port
it's connected to so they're
having to trace things back physically.
That's being done, but I really don't think it's the
problem.

I took a peek at the bottom of the email where it
says that the Network people do not know where each
port is connected, fotunately, usually network gear
lets you know where a specific MAC address is
connected to...just provide that to them.
You can grab the MAC address using different
methods...
netsat -ni
lscfg -vl entX | grep 'Network Address'
also <command> entstat -d entX </command> will tell
you at what speed the port bound to..
entstat -d ent0 | grep 'Media Speed'
