removing the devices will not solve this problem

The controllers in the array (a fastt 200) are directly connected to the
two hbas and I ran diagnostics today (complete with loopback) and it
passed ok. The cables run straight from the HBAs to the array, and both
of the HBAs have the yellow-blinky-light, which indicates a good link.
The controllers in the array also show the link is ok.

So...it may not be a hardware problem. Since I've not set up this kind
of array before, maybe I'm missing something pretty obvious. The
SMclient tool shows that both of the controllers are available and OK.
The only odd thing was that I had to manage them out-of-band, which
isn't a big deal, but I remember doing it in-band on a similar setup on
a linux box.

Is there a way to force a scan of the HBA and figure out what's attached
to it? Are there settings I should have been making when I plopped the
new card in there?

Thanks!
Brian

It looks normal (to me) but obviously something is up...
That looks OK for me too.
You have 2 dac's, 2 fcnet, 2 fscsi an of cource 2 fcs's.
Hmm,
once we had a problem, when removing complete FASTT-Config from a
machine.
Do once more:
- umount FS
- varyoffvg VG
- exportvg VG
- rmdev -dl hdisk4
- rmdev -dl dar0
- rmdev -dl fscsi0
- rmdev -dl fcnet
- do the same for second devices (dac1, etc.)
In fact, throw out all - execpt of fcs0/fcs1, then do
- cfgmgr
- fget_config -Av (Look, if the created hdisk4 is managed by 1
dar-device and is
having 2 dacs)
- importvg -y VG hdisk4
- mount FS
Cheers,
ku
