Can we eliminate the HTML junk?

Is there any way the List, or I personally, can stop the HTML junk that
comes along with many messages. Turning on HTML in Lotus Notes at my
location is not an option for security reasons. I just do not need to dig
thru stuff like the following in order to read the messages
