Re: Memory tuneables

I have never used these parameters in an Oracle Env. They appear to be Informix related.

They might be talking about I/O pacing and high/low water marks. I would never enable I/O pacing with oracle though.

Subject: Memory tuneables

Admins,

On of my Oracle DBA's just asked me to look at LRU_MAX_DIRTY, LRU_MIN_DIRTY memory settings on one of our servers. I have personally never heard of these on an AIX system. The digging that I did resulted in something to do with an Informix environment. I don't see them in the vmo -L output either. Does anyone have an idea of where to look or even tune these?

Regards,
Darryl
