I believe that the B50 is 32-bit only, and AIX 5.3 is the last version
which will ship with a 32-bit kernel. IBM has announced that all future
versions will ship with only a 64-bit kernel. Therefore, although your
B50 will run 5.3, that is the last version it will be able to run.

Hi All,
Does anyone know that RS/6000 B50 model supports Aix 5.3? I don't have
the server yet, so can't test.
