Hello,
is it possible to make NIM master to be a NIM client
for another server to
make its mksysb backup there ?
I am in doubt, because
1) NIM master configuration maybe removes NIM
client filesets
2) there is only one /etc/niminfo, either client's
or master's one
and I am affraid they could fight about
But some say it is possible (without evidence :-((
The goal is to have two masters for two "mirrored"
sites to backup
crossbar, including the masters to each other site's
master
Many thanks

Libor,
You can do mksysb backups to a NFS mounted filesystem
regardless of whether the NFS server is a NIM server
or not.
If you need to restore a NIM server due to system
crash, you can start by having such server as a NIM
client of your remote's site NIM server then update
the configuration to make it the NIM Master.
As I would see it, there is no need to have a NIM
Server be the NIM client of a remote server, but that
is just me, I might be wrong.
regards,
Enrique.
