Subject: Drive not in Device Configuration
AIX 5300-05-03
Pseries 6E1 Type 7028
I just added a drive, which I've done before uneventfully. This drive
shows in the physical volumes list, is defined, but I continue to get an
0516-304 : Unable to find device id hdisk3 in the Device
Configuration Database.
error when trying to mirror, list contents, anything.
getlvodm -C does not list this drive. I have shutdown and reseated it
a couple times, certified it, formatted it, configure a defined disk
successfully...I haven't tried it in a different drive bay, that's my
next move.
Any suggestions? I did just go from 5300-04 to 5300-05-03 but have
not yet committed and have the saved files.
Thank you,
Karen Boddy
