Re: nfs problem

I checked server's and workstations' arp tables but there where no sign of
duplicate IP address.

My first instinct would be checking the arp table. Perhaps the arp tables
need to be updated since the duplicate IP Address was on the segment?

Hello,

I have got problem with NFS on our server (aix 4.3.3 ML11).

Two days ago I had IP duplication (it lasted about 10-15 minutes). Since
then a few times a day workstations cannot access NFS filesystems from our
server, everything hangs up for a couple of minutes and then

comes back to normal state. All other services like samba, NIS are working
fine all the time. There is one NFS filesystems connected to our server
from workstation and it also working without problem.

It looks like workstations cannot properly retrieve information through
NFS.

As I saw recently one time workstations can retrieve information but it
takes them a few minutes to for example list mounted filesystem (including
NFS), other time they can't connect to our nfs server and I have to
restart
nfs service.

A few more things: About 30 UNIX workstations use exported filesystems
from
our server. Another 50 PCs use server resources through Samba.

NFS services run with default number of daemons.

I would be grateful for any help.

Below is the last reported error concerning nfsd:
