Depending on the version of the microcode, it is either "5", "6" or "F5"
to get to the SMS menu and boot from CDROM. You also have to press it
at the right time. After it displays the banner, but before it starts
booting from the harddrive.

Hi,
Thanks for ppl's answers. First - Hans-Dieter Kutz <hdkutz@xxxxxxxxx>
suggested to run some cmds, here they are with their output:
Script command is started on Fri Dec 15 20:34:07 IST 2006.

Script command is complete on Fri Dec 15 20:35:06 IST 2006.
"Cargill, Bill" <BHCargill@xxxxxxxxxx> suggested running diag to verify
which hdisk is faulty - as can be seen above, hdisk0 has been removed
so IF it's a h/d issue (not scsi) then this is probably it (diag
obviously doesn't see it).
As for "Davignon, Edward" <Edward.Davignon@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>'s sugestions
(see below), I can probably not do it rmotely (:-) :-(), will try to
check Saturday night ... BTW - to boot into service from the aix cdrom
do I have to change the bootlist, or will a F1 at boot time suffice to
get to the diag menu ? [t'was so straightforward with the key in the MCA
days...).

Have you tried booting from a CDROM and running diag? That would rulescsi

Try physically reinserting the harddrives, maybe some thing on the
bus has a bad connection.

Thanks a lot and have a nice weekend,

p.s. errpt -a shows a PHYSICAL VOLUME DEVICE MAJOR/MINOR of:
0000 0000 0000 0000 ; what's this ? hdisk0 is:21,3 ; hdisk: 21,0
and scsi0-2 respectively are: 14,2 ; 14,0 ; 14,1
