We exported all volume groups so /etc/filesystems should have been clean, we never saw any duplicate name issues when importing the vg's either.


My verification scenario:
on MachineA:
importvg your_vg
lsvg -l your_vg
mount -a
mount

umount...
exportvg your_vg

on MachineB:
importvg your_vg
lsvg -l your_vg
mount -a
mount

See the 1st and 7th columns in lsvg and 2nd and 3rd columns in mount output.
Can you see different LV names in outputs?
