Ok..here's the output of dump -Hv. Now, how do you read this?


I see that libreadline.so is mentioned here and that also appears in the output of the smbclient command....

Most likely you need the readline package from the same place you downloaded the samba package.





The dump command on AIX serves a similar purpose to the ldd command in other UNIXs.



Try:

dump -Hv filename



Also try:

dump -Rv filename

and

dump -Tv filename
