Subject: removing SSA Raid Arrays
To: comp.unix.aix
I am getting the same message. Did you get anywhere with this?
A bit of background:
We had 3 RAID5 arrays set up. I deleted one of the arrays and tried to
recreate it as RAID0. No free disks were listed through SMIT.
They appeared when trying to create a RAID5 array.
IBM have just been in and applied some patches.
Free disks then appeared when creating the RAID0 array.
On trying to delete it, I get this object broken error.
Does anyone have any ideas whats going on here???
TIA

I don't have SSA on my present system; therefore cannot check whatin
ssadel does. Please check if the string '06793964FE0A4CK' is present
any of the ODM Cu* ODM classes. Just in case. It might be the RAID5the
disk's PVID. *shrug* Also, pressing F6 in the Delete an SSA RAID Array
panel can give you an idea about what script or command is run when
deletion of a RAID array is attempted.
