Take a look at SRN 42525 in the adapter user guide. (I'm looking at thesimon.green@xxxxxxx 02/19/07 5:48 AM >>>

Subject: ssa adapter cache error
I'm not entirely sure what happened here or what's going to
be the least painful remedy but we had an SSA adapter (6230 I
think) that was saying the battery needed to be replaced(
SSA_CACHE_BATTERY). My co-worker got a battery and what I
think is the fast rw/cache that goes with it?
I've replaced batteries before with no problems but this time
it came enclosed in what I think is the 32MB fast write cache.
At any rate, down the server and swap out the battery and
cache since it was easier than unclipping just the battery
but at bootup the VG is now unaccessible due to a wrong_cache error.

So I can't varyon the vg anymore etc.
Anybody ever see this error before?
Any suggestions? This is a test server so I can just blow
away the array, rebuild and restore if needed.
I wasn't actually working on this but it should now be back
to it's original config with old battery and module.
