Re: Attack of the 'M's in vi

The file has been edited in a Windows editor. Windows editors use \r\n
for line returns and UNIX hosts do not like that.

Subject: Attack of the 'M's in vi

Hi all,
Would anyone know why suddenly when I run a 'vi' command to edit scripts
I
am seeing those pesky 'M's in the viewing of the script? They are not
actually in the script - it appears something has changed in my SSH
client.
Any suggestions on what to look at? or check?
I have not changed the settings of my SSH client, so I am assuming that
someone changed something on my AIX server?
Thanks in advance,
Kathe
