Re: AIX 5.3 TL5 command for temp

Hi Larry,

2007/6/6, Larry Scheetz <LScheetz@xxxxxxxxxxx>:

AIX temperature sensors

By executing the command /usr/lpp/diagnostics/bin/uesensor,
you can, on supported platform, get the fan speeds and temperature of your
system:

[root@sys /] /usr/lpp/diagnostics/bin/uesensor -a

You are correct :), but the uesensor with -l option produce human
readable list.
for example on my 170 box:

Sensor = thermal sensor
Status = Normal
Value = 32 Degrees Celsius
Physical Location Code = P1

Sensor = fan-speed
Status = Normal
Value = 3840 RPM
Physical Location Code = P1-C1-F1

Sensor = fan-speed
Status = Normal
Value = 2850 RPM
Physical Location Code = F2

.....

Cheers,
Zoltan
