We're using RAC on Linux...basically, you'll need an IP address to be assigned
to each node in the cluster. Here is a snip from a hosts file:
####################### Host 1
####################################################
10.6.28.11 host1.fqdn host1
10.6.28.121 host1b.fqdn host1b
192.168.128.1 virtualhost1
######################## Host 2
####################################################
10.6.28.12 host2a.fqdn host2a
10.6.28.122 host2b.fqdn host2b
192.168.128.2 virtualhost2
Basically something like this.

Hello All,
I am working with a consultant to implement Oracle RAC on a couple of p570
LPAR's. The consultant (and documentation) require:
"1 virtual IP per node must be reserved, and not used on the network prior
to Oracle clusterware installation. Don't set IP alias at AIX5L level.
Oracle clusterware will take charge of it."
I can not find a clear AIX "translation" of this anywhere. Can anyone point
me in the right direction.
Joe
