File Collections

This is probably a silly question. I'm looking at file collections in the
HA study guide and it says this feature is not used for user and password
management. I have been trying to work out why this is so. All I could
come up with is that you might need to keep a different set of users on each
node. Can anyone let me know if there is any other reason why we couldn't
use it.



We currently have an in house script which is supposed to do this however it
falls over fairly often leaving us with problems. If it is possible to use
file collections to keep the user and password files up to date it would
make things much easier.
