SMB Connections

I need to configure my AIX 5.3 server to access a share on my Windows 2003
server. I've read some posts where it is suggested to use SAMBA, while
others suggest ditching SAMBA and using SMBFS. Although I have experience
in Linux I am fairly new to AX administration and could use some guidance.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

Russ Hazzon
